Dr. Shailendra Raj Mehta is currently the Provost/Vice Chancellor of Ahmedabad University .He has completed his his PHD at Harvard University in 1990. he also held post of Assistant professor of economics at the Krannert School of Management, Purdue University.He taught a wide range of topics from Economics of uncertainty to Macroeconomic theory. In On 22 April 1995 Dr. Shailendra Mehta was awarded the ‘Class of 1922 prize for Teaching Innovation and Helping Students Learn’, one of the highest awards of its kind for all of Purdue. ==Career== From 1997 - 2004, Mr. Mehta was director in Krannerts Entrepreneurship initiative, and co-director in Simulex Inc. 1997-2007 Mr Mehta taught at Purdue and Chief Economist, President and Co-CEO in Simulex Inc.
